If you’re a fan of big, garish parties with hilarity, fun and rainbows, why not hop on a coach to Birmingham this next bank holiday weekend for Birmingham Pride. A weekend long LGBT festival, widely known as the largest in the UK, features a Carnival Parade that walks through the city centre as well as a number of fantastic features and events at the community village green.
With a cabinet marquee, a funfair, a dance arena and the Nightingale Main Stage where a number of celebrity guests including Marvin Humes (JLS), Jimmy Somerville and Ms Dynamite will be playing throughout the weekend. Get your rave gear on and paint your face in neon lights because this weekend is about to get funky.
The pride festival attracted around 50,000 attendees at Birmingham alone last year and the numbers are expected to be even higher this year. The theme for this pride is ‘FREEDOM – together united’ so we can expect to see some fantastic themed costumes in the parade this year. Limited advanced tickets are currently available at a discounted price, with VIP day and weekend tickets also available.
