Today is the 24th March, marking the official start of British Summertime! Dust off your beach towels, refill your sun-cream lotion and get ready for a few rainy months followed by some hot weather! Keeping safe in the hot weather is important, so while you’re making a list of all the places you want to visit in the summer, using our fantastic coaches for hire, we’ll give you some top tips on keeping healthy and happy in the sun.
Check the Dates!
Make sure to check the dates on your sun cream lotion. Similar many perishables, sun cream lotion actually has a use by date, and its effectiveness will start to wear down if you continue to use it past that date. Buy new sun cream or your skin will regret it!
Don’t Ignore the Sun
If you go out walking on a sunny but windy day you might think that you won’t get sunburnt because it feels cold. Unfortunately you are still at a risk of getting sunburned because that sun is still beating down! Even if it feels a little sticky, slap some sun cream on during sunny, windy days.
Our last little tip is to always make sure you have plenty of water and liquids available. Drink lots of water as you’ll sweat a lot out during the summer and this can lead to tiredness and headaches. Have fun in the sun!
