It is half term this week, and that means excited children! There are countless activities available for children to pass the time during half term, but for a unique experience that will get the kids learning and sharing, why not visit Audley End House in Essex for a traditional Victorian cooking session with Mrs Crocombe?
The event takes place from 11am to 4pm, where you will take a journey back in time to the late 19th century and you will be greeted with the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional Victorian kitchen. Join Mrs Crocombe as she creates a variety of different pork dishes, cooking her way from the head to the toe of the pig as you learn that even the wealthiest households made the most of their meat!
Visitors get the chance to learn a host of unusual recipes, and can take a step into the lives of a traditional Victorian household, where even the weirdest parts of the pig could be put to good use in a hearty meal.
Tickets are priced depending on the age of the visitor, and this event may not be suitable for vegetarians. Make it an event by hiring a minibus or Coach in Essex for the occasion!
