Coach journeys, whether they are long or short, can be tiring. Whether you’re heading on a coach journey on your lonesome, you’re part of a group travelling for a specific convention or corporate event, or you are one of the chaperones on a school trip, different coach journeys will see you preparing in different ways. However once you have gotten everybody settled down and into the journey, you’ll get a bit of free time to yourself. With longer coach journeys there are always a few essentials that you should pack when going on a coach ride.
Whether you’re an avid reader or you just prefer to plug in your headphones and watch the scenery go by, make sure you are fully stocked. Check that all necessary devices are fully charged, or invest in a portable charger if any emergencies occur. If you know you’re a fast reader, try to take two or three books or download a few e-books to your tablet. A Kindle makes for a great gadget for readers who really get through their books!
If you’re going on a trip through Europe, obviously you will want to grab a few Euros of spare change, but having a few £ on you will also not go amiss. You’ll never know when hunger pangs strike you so it is important to be fully prepared! Plus if your coach stops at any gas or service stations along the way, you can always grab a bite to eat or hop off to use the toilets and often this costs a few coins!
A nice bottle of squash or a cooled bottle of water with a few ice cubes in it will never go amiss. Remember that although your coach may stop on the way at service stations, it is not guaranteed. It is better to be safe rather than sorry as coach journeys can get pretty hot and heavy particularly in the summer months. A cooling drink is always refreshing!
