From the hometown of Jane Austen comes the 14th Annual Jane Austen Festival from the 12th September 2014 – 21st September 2014. With a variety of different entertainments available including dance workshops, etiquette workshops, talks regarding the novels and plays of Jane Austen and more, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
This year will also have a World Record Attempt, should you wish to attend in Regency Costume. The festival will attempt to break the World Record for ‘The Largest Gathering of people dressed in Regency Costumes’ which will in fact mark the start of the festival.
The world record attempt is not the only reason to attend in regency dress as there will also be a regency costume masked ball held in the Pump Rooms.
The ball is on Friday 19th September at 7pm; however there is a whole host of planned events throughout the festival, providing visitors and attendees with a huge amount of information regarding the life and times of Jane Austen as well as the famous history of her books and plays.
It is easy to get to Bath City centre by using a coach, plus if you are planning to attend the festival with a group of friends or a society, Coach Transport has a wide range of different minibuses and coaches to choose from that are suited to the specific needs of your party.
