How long has it been since your last cinema visit? 2014 promises to be a strong year for cinema, so we have a look at some of the line ups in the coming weeks. RoboCop is a re-imagining of the 1987 film of the same name. The year is 2028 and the technological world is dominated by OmniCorp, the company responsible for the manufacture of military drones. OmniCorp uses the critical injuries of Alex Murphy to create a whole new type of project; part man, part machine. RoboCop is essentially a moral story about the controversy of artificial life. This is a great film for both teen audiences, who will enjoy the action scenes and fast paced plot, and for parents who saw the first RoboCop when it came out in 1987. RoboCop will be in Cinemas in the UK from the 7th February 2014
For younger audiences, Mr. Peabody and Sherman is also released on the 7th February 2014 in UK Cinemas. The story follows the life of a highly intelligent and accomplished dog, Mr. Peabody. He decides to take on the ’biggest challenge of them all’, raising a human child. That child is Sherman. Things seem to be going well until Sherman and his friend stumble across Mr. Peabody’s WABAC (Time Travel) machine. What ensues is a hilarious romp through time in an attempt to prevent any damage being done to the present time. Many cinemas in the UK offer a discount on group bookings, or a family meal combination so why not hire a minibus with Coach Transport Group to make it a family event?
