Today marks the start of the world famous Tour De France 2014 and will continue throughout the entire month until Sunday the 27th July. As an annual event, the Tour De France is one of, if not the single most famous cycling event worldwide. Starting at Leeds on the 7th, the Tour De France will continue through the cities of Harrogate, York, Sheffield, Cambridge and then London before the contestants will fly over to France to continue on with the Tour.
There are two rest days throughout this year’s Tour De France, one in Bensancon on the 15th and in Carcassonne on the 21st. While in the UK, the Tour De France will cycle past several famous London attractions where you can watch and cheer on the contestants as they go past.
Whether you are planning on going and showing your support on your own or if you’re arranging to go with a group, Coach Transport Group provide excellent opportunities for minibuses and coaches available for hire at competitive rates.
If you’re not sure about travelling up to London just to cheer on the cyclists, you can always drop by one of the fan parks which have been set up across London. They’re an excellent place to come and meet fellow fans as well as being able to relax in a good atmosphere after the cyclists have passed.
